This development explores at a larger scale, some of the main concepts present in the casa- i project. A lush tropical plot with extraordinary views to the surrounding mountains of Cayey and to the Caribbean Sea (previously in plans to be conventionally developed) is rethought with an eco-conscious strategy. Eleven compact housing units are clustered in order to lessen the impact on the land. The sustainable units will be organized around a plaza like space to be built above a parking garage. The plaza will be partially covered from the sun with a pergola designed out of the array of photovoltaic panels. Hiking trails will run to the remaining land.
