The main idea of this proposal is to complement an existing 1930’s structure to create a spatially and programmatically unified educational center. To achieve this goal, the design relies in the manipulation of interior and exterior spaces to achieve a multiplicity of sequences that will forge links between the various programmatic needs of the school. The inverted barrel vaults of the new concrete roof would spatially unify the first level of the premises. The free forms of the walls underneath this roof enclose areas for learning and recreation.
